I finally get a move on – SL#37.

Good day to you all once again and welcome to yet another post in the series concerning my three month trip to Sri Lanka in early 2014 which by now was turning into an incredible journey with much more to come.

If you wish to read the whole piece from the beginning then you should go here.

I get steamed (again)! – SL#36.

Greetings everybody and welcome to another post in a series about my first of three trips to Sri Lanka. I undertook this one in January – March 2014 and which seems like a world away now that I am under virus house arrest. I know that almost everybody reading this will be suffering the same to a greater or lesser degree and I do sincerely hope you have not been too badly affected. These are difficult times.

A quick word for anyone who has just discovered this post and may be brave or foolish enough to wish to read the whole saga from the beginning, you can do so here.

Trekking, trains and tea – SL#35.

Welcome again everybody to another post in the series regarding my first trip to Sri Lanka in 2014 which was already memorable and becoming moreso by the day. If any new readers wish to see why it was so memorable then they can read from the beginning here.

I had walked up to the Nine Arches Bridge in the last episode and had throroughly enjoyed myself and so when I woke up early the next morning I thought I might repeat the process and go to visit another local landmark. If you want to find out what it was, please read on.

Walking the rails – SL#34.

Welcome everyone to another post in my series about a 2014 trip to Sri Lanka and I know I say this at the top of every entry but I really do mean it. I am genuinely amazed at the response I have had to my efforts and the lovely comments I have received so thank you all.

I shall make my usual comment here for new readers which is that if they wish to read the entire piece from the beginning, it all starts here.

I had left you the last time with me “stranded” in Ella in the highlands of Uva Province and doing not very much of anything really except eating and drinking rather too much beer, so you’ll be glad to know that in this post I get to do something interesting. Admittedly, it is a stupid and potentially dangerous something but it is interesting. I can almost hear the collective voice of my readership saying, “What on Earth is he going to do now”?

Busy doing nothing (again) – SL#32.

Hello again and welcome to yet another instalment of my trip to Sri Lanka in the early part of 2014, my first trip there but by no means my last and there will be more if long-haul travel is ever again an option for me.

A quick word to new readers, if you wish to read the whole story of this trip then you can start here.

A fairly perfect day – SL#31.

Welcome once again everybody to nother post in the rather long series about my first trip to Sri Lanka between February and April 2014. If you want to read the whole adventure (and it was) from the beginning, you can do so here.

‘Ello Ella – SL#30.

Greetings to everyone and welcome as always to another post in my series regarding my three month trip to Sri Lanka in early 2014 which I hope you are enjoying reading as much as I am enjoying writing it.

I can scarcely believe this is the 30th post already and I am only about half way through the journey but it is bringing back some wonderful memories of my first time in that superb country and passing the time when I am more or less unable to leave the house due to virus restrictions.

A quick word to new readers, who I am very gratified to note seem to be appearing from time to time and which is that if you wish to read the whole story from the beginning, you can do it here.
