The end of the road (for now).

Hello again everyone and welcome to the 36th and, I promise you, last post in this series. I do dislike using the term “last post” because of it’s sombre military connotations but, as I woke this particular morning for the first time in nearly six weeks in a bed that wasn’t on wheels, I was feeling a little sombre.

If for some reason you wish to read the previous 35 posts and find out exactly what I had been up to on this trip to the Maritime Provinces of Canada with my dear friend Lynne then you can do so here.

If you are all caught up, or even if you are not, and wish to know what happens next then please read on.

Disaster strikes.

Hello once again and welcome to the latest post in my series about my 2014 road-trip round the Maritime Provinces of Canada with my dear friend Lynne in Betsy, the ancient campervan who had taken to making very strange noises the previous day or two.

If you would care to read the entire saga (it is about six weeks worth) from the beginning then you can do so here. If you are all caught up and wish to find out what happens next then please read on.

Museums, murder, Moncton and many beers.

Hello again and welcome back to my regular readers and a warm first-time welcome to those who may have just stumbled upon the site. It is the latest in a series concerning my 2014 trip to the Maritime Provinces of Canada with my dear friend Lynne in a very old campervan / RV which we had named Betsy and was giving slight cause for concern by making some rather odd noises. If you wish to read the story from the start, you can do so here.

If you want to see what we got up to then please read on.

New day, New Province, New Brunswick.

Welcome back everyone to my series of posts about my 2014 visit to the Maritime Provinces of Canada and a road-trip with my dear friend Lynne in a very old campervan / RV called Betsy. If I am being a little previous here in welcoming you back and you have not read the earlier posts in the series you can start from the beginning here.

If you are already up to speed with the journey you will know that I left you in a campground in Borden – Carleton which we had chosen in order to be close to the bridge so we could travel on to New Brunswick and ultimately back to New Minas where we had our “base” at Lynne’s Father’s home.

If you want to see what happens next then please read on.

Lighthouses and lobsters – a last look at PEI.

Good day to one and all wherever in the world you may be and, according to the site where I create these posts before publishing them here, there are people from all parts of the globe that pop by here from time to time so thank you all.

I shall start with my usual preamble and tell you that this is one of a series regarding a 2014 trip I made to Canada where my dear friend Lynne and I were on a road-trip round the Maritime Provinces in an ancient campervan / RV called Betsy which had recently turned over the clock at 100,000 km. and needed to be treated very gently and nursed along. If you wish to read the whole story from the beginning then you can do so here.

If you have read the previous post you will know that we had parked up in a beautiful campsite which, despite my best efforts, I cannot identify now but I know it was in a lovely wooded location by the water although that doesn’t really narrow the field much in PEI. Doesn’t Betsy look wonderful? If you want to know what happened next then please read on.

How do we do it?

Hello once more one and all and welcome back to the latest in my series about a road-trip round the Maritime Provinces of Canada in the alleged summer of 2014. I say alleged as the weather was awful and we had already survived a hurricane! For purposes of clarification we are my dear friend Lynne and Betsy the 33-year-old campervan.

If you have been following the series you will know that in the previous post we had returned to Charlottetown, capital of Prince Edward Island Province for some more sight-seeing and had spent the night in the KOA Campground where we had been previously. If you have not been following the series and would like to do so from the beginning then it starts here.

I think that by now we had seen most of what Charlottetown had to offer, which was quite a lot, and it was time to get back on the road so if you want to join us then please read on.

Backtracking for Beaconsfield, bread and beer.

Hello again and wecome back to the 30th instalment of this series about my 2014 trip to the Maritime provinces of Canada, I can barely believe my own productivity!

Regular readers will know that I was with my dear friend Lynne in a very old campervan / RV which we had named Betsy and in the last episode I had left you with us in a lovely rural campsite just outside Wheatley River which sits at the head of a large inlet on the Northern coast of the beautiful Prince Edward Island.

If you are not a regular and would like to read the entire story from the beginning then you can do so here. Whether you decide to read back, have already done so or don’t want to, if you wish to see what we get up to this day then please read on.

Confederation, cows, Celts and cannons.

Hello again everyone and welcome to my latest post in the current series. For readers who are new either to the series or my blog as a whole, greetings and should you wish to read the former from the beginning you may do so here. Briefly, it concerns a 2014 six week road-trip in Betsy, a very old campervan / RV which we had vaguely re-fitted ourselves, with my dear friend Lynne.

Regular readers will know that last time I left you with us in a campground in Cornwall which is a few miles out of Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island, the smallest Canadian Province by some distance.

I had promised you another look at that beautiful city so if you want to join us then please read on.

Campbell’s Cove to Charlottetown.

Hello once again and my usual warm welcome to readers both old and new. Having made one of my infrequent trip to visit my stats I find that I have garnered a new reader from Trinidsad and Tobago, which I know translates as Holy Trinity and tobacco of all things so welcome to you Mr. / Mrs or Miss T&T.

At my age I still find it amazing that people from all over the globe read these idiotic musings of mine, it certainly is a matter for cosideration that people from places I will never see have seen fit to read about my various rambles around the world. It is a humbling experience.

Back now to my latest little excursion on this blog and my trip round the Maritime Provinces of Canada which you can read about from the beginning here.

I was in an aged campervan / RV which we had decided to call Betsy, in company with my dear Canadian friend Lynne, in the rather chaotic summer of 2014 where we had already survived an unseasonally hurricane and the weather was much less than brilliant so if you want to know what happens next, please read on.

A new day, a new Province.

Greetings once again to readers old and new and welcome as always to the latest episode in this series about a trip I made round the Maritime Provinces of Canada in 2014. I was with my dear friend Lynne, herself a Canadian, and we were nursing a very old campervan / RV, which we had named Betsy, around the natural wonderland that is the East Coast of that huge country.

If you wish to know what we have done so far, you can read the whole story here. If you wish to see what we get up to next then please read on.
